SEX SPEAKS: Raising Awareness about Human Trafficking in Central Ohio

Thursday May 26th 8:00 pm

Church of the Master

Guest Speakers:

Amy Buchan is a former Otterbein student who is now the Outreach and Development Coordinator for doma International. She is going to share about the need here in Central Ohio and how doma strives to help the local women and children who are coming out of trafficking situations.

Judge Paul Herbert started the CATCH court program. This revolutionary state funded and court supported program helps to get women off thestreets and into rehab. Doma International has partnered with this program to help provide the women with shelter and the necessary resources once they have agreed to partake in the voluntary, two-year CATCH court program. He will be sharing about the program itself, what inspired him to start the program, and the societal impact/response towards these women.

Jeanette Bradley is a local survivor of human trafficking. She has been off the streets since 1994 and has a powerful testimony about her experience, and how she was able to overcome her past life of addiction and abuse. She will be sharing her story with us.

Afterwards we will be showing a short film and have snacks and refreshments. Make sure to invite your friends and family and please consider donating $5-10 all of which will benefit doma international and their efforts to end human trafficking here in Central Ohio. KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! Come and learn more so that you can be a part of the SOLUTION.
